ESSENTIAL ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Under limited supervision, performs complex accounting duties following established procedures.

·        Acts as the first point of contact for accounting issues relative to one or more entities.

·        Prepares and posts accounting related entries to various ledgers, registers, journals & logs by following established accounting techniques & procedures.

·        Performs monthly bank reconciliations for various entities.

·        Responsible for monthly detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts including cash, inter-company balances, prepaid accounts, fixed assets, general and accrued liabilities, etc.

·        Provides monthly and quarterly detailed variance analyses and explanations including detailed transactional financial reporting as required by management.

·        Responsible for the timely completion of all related month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting closing activities.

·        Assist in the documentation support and preparation for external auditors including financial statements & varied fiscal reports.

·        Assists with support activities on ad hoc accounting projects as required.

·        Responsible for the preparation and organization of all related accounting documentation as required by established internal controls and audit requirements.

·        Documents workflow and work procedures.

·        Other duties as assigned.

·        Computer skills- able to use word processing, spreadsheet, and marketing software.

·        Technical skills- Knowledge of Accounting concepts and practices for publicly traded corporations, Computer accounting programs and applications, Technical proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook, Read and understand technical forms, spreadsheets and financial reports. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Verbal and written skills; ability to explain, support and document actions and procedures
