The Senior Field Service/Install Engineer is a field-based, customer-facing role that installs, services, maintains our enterprise virtual reality product. We take a collaborative approach to solving our customers' needs. Our Field Service/Install Engineers are the “Face to the customer” and will provide front line support in the field for new installs, troubleshooting, and customer technical training.
Position Responsibilities
  • Perform service, preventative maintenance, modifications and installations for our client at customer sites with minimal supervision;
  • Provide on-site customer repairs; responsible for delivering both timely and effective repairs
  • Provide adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction;
  • Recognize opportunity to increase revenue generation with clients, and work with sales to deliver these solutions.
  • Manage company assets in the field.
  • Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers
  • Collaborate with client’s technology groups to ensure smooth installations and deployment.
  • Minimum high school diploma. Preference on Bachelor’s degree and Microsoft Certifications.
  • Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining software systems.
  • Strong systems/network engineering experience required across multiple platforms.
  • Proficient Microsoft Networking across LAN/WAN/VPN.
  • Able to work both individually and in an established team setting
  • Self-starter with strong customer service skills as well as excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources; strong competency in instrument systems technology
  • Able to interface with customers in a positive professional manner
  • Ability to think and act in a logical and methodical way
  • Hold a current valid driver’s license and good driving record over last three years is required
  • Willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate
  • Ability to travel and provide service across multiple geographies, Travel expected to be 50%
  • Willingness to participate in leading and growing the field engineering team.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Previous field service experience is desired
  • 4+ years of experience as a systems engineer or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments preferred
  • Microsoft/Cisco Networking certifications.
  • Background or coursework in Electronics, chemistry, biology or natural sciences is helpful
